I was born to Barbara C. (16 yo) and Allen W. (17 yo) on Dec. 29, 1971. Both parents shared a life of drug addiction (separately) and both parents died at a very young age. Mom died from Metastatic Stomach Cancer as a result of Breast Cancer (43 yo) and Allen died from a Drug Overdose (38 yo).
At 14 I was sent to live with my grandmother Emma B. Life with grandma was not always a walk in the park. In fact, its where I endured my worst child/teenage trauma.
Fast forward to these days I'm proud to say I've survived molestation, single parenting, suicide, depression, gunshots, physical, verbal, and mental abuse. I consider myself to be a strong tower. I'm a tower that's relatable to so many individuals.
I created Hearts of Mercy, Inc. (H.O.M.) in 2018. It was brought to fruition after 18 years of GOD putting this assignment on my heart. Although his message was very clear, I was too, afraid, and embarrassed to divulge those pieces of me until then. H.O.M. is an IRS recognized 501 c3. Each ribbon in the H.O.M. logo represents a challenge that I've faced directly or indirectly through my lifetime.
Welcome H.O.M. & God Bless!
